Prayer Requests (vol. 20)

by margo

There are two prayer requests this week; one from a person named Sue, and the other from me.  If you’ve missed the previous posts on this topic please refer back to this post which will link you back to the other ones.  And please let me know if I accidentally neglected to include your request and I will be sure to include it in next week’s post.  Thank you for your prayers and for sharing your time.

Prayer Request from Sue:

Hi Margo,
I can’t even tell you how I found your site but I believe it was in searching for updates on Fr. Corapi.  I have had what you called an “unanswered prayer” and have been praying a Novena to Mary the Undoer of Knots for this intention.  My husband has been out of work for 2 years and is trying very hard to get work.  Now at interviews just that fact he has been out of work so long goes against him.  He is not Catholic but a nominal believer and I have seen his faith grow through this trial.  However it is now begining to wear on both of us.  He doesnt understand what more he can do and he is trusting GOd which is good but secretly I am hurt that God has not answered the prayer.  If he doesnt want us to keep the house thats fine show us!  If he wants my husband to work then let the interviews pan out!  I am ready to lose all for Him but this mystery of no answer is so hard on my faith.  I love Christ so much and can go no where else as he is my Love and Life.  As Peter says “Lord to whom should we go?  You have the words of eternal life”  Please add this to your Friday prayer list.  Thanks and God bless.

Prayer Request for Amy:

I have a friend whose ex-daughter-in-law, Amy, is battling Cancer.  Amy has had a very uncomfortable life for the past thirteen years, as that is how long the Cancer has been in her body.  I don’t have all the details, but I know that Amy has a thirteen-year old daughter and that the birth of her daughter seemed to have set the Cancer off again after it had been in remission for a period of time.  It has traveled all over her body, including the liver and other vital organs.  Amy is only forty years old, and now the Cancer has spread to her brain.  The doctors are saying that it’s only a matter of time.  Amy is preparing herself for the day when she will soon have to sit down with her daughter, letting her know that the Cancer is likely going to kill her.  I asked my friend if she’d like me to post a prayer request for Amy on this blog, and she was very receptive to the idea.  Please keep this person Amy (and her family) in your prayers.  Thank you.

@Christopher
Thanks to everyone for their prayers. Per Margos suggestion I am now adding the Divine Mercy Chaplet to my prayers for these intentions.

Please pray for my friend and I. After a long set of arguments and conflicts six months ago, we’re back to being very good friends. However, our friendship is still in a very fragile growing stage. Just pray that our relationship continues to grow in God and that we continue to be not only the best of friends but also that we’re able to look to each other when things get tough.
