Today I ask for prayers for everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Irene. In fact, one of our readers had to evacuate his home and I haven’t heard from him since, and another reader lost her home due to severe flooding damage. Also, my uncle who lives in Vermont has had a mess on his hands from his house being flooded. On the day the rain hit his area he saw his propane tanks being washed away down the river. Please keep these people and everyone who was in the path of the hurricane in your prayers.
Aside from that, we have one prayer request this week (in the burgundy font.) If you’ve missed the previous posts on this topic please refer back to this post which will link you back to the other ones. And don’t hesitate to let me know if I neglected to include your request and I will be sure to include it in … [Read More...]
Last night I had dinner with my sister Amy to celebrate our birthdays which are a day apart. She had been in a terrible car accident in June 2010, the same month I created this blog. In fact, one of my first posts the following month was about her car accident and a lesson I learned in seeing the glass as half full vs. half empty.
I was sitting across the table from Amy last night at an outdoor deck at an old favorite restaurant. She just moved back to this area less than a week ago, having been away for ten years. I was remembering how close she came to losing her life last year and how messed up things were for a while. She didn’t even celebrate her birthday last year, and yet, here we were last night, as if the whole nightmare of the car accident had never happened, talking and laughing and reminiscing – you know, … [Read More...]

Prayer Request from Lina:
Please pray for my father Antonio .F. he had a stroke on Aug 9th and he still has little or no movement on the right side. His speech is also slurred and he is extremely paranoid and asks that we lift him out of bed and take him home. Please pray that he will recover from this and his paranoia will be gone. He has had such a hard life and I would love to see him enjoy his life. Please pray for my … [Read More...]
I was originally going to make today’s post be a follow-up to Spiritual Attacks which I wrote the other day. In fact, there is so much to follow-up on that I’m afraid I will forget some of it if I don’t start writing about it soon. The priest who came to my home in June had advised that I keep a journal of incidences and dates as they occur; you can read about it in this post. I will resort to that journal when I write my follow-up post, but for now there is another spiritual attacks issue that I’d like to address which is equally important.
God Is in Charge, Not Us
As you can see, the comments are still coming in on my (Father) John Corapi posts, the newest (post) of which isn’t so new anymore, as it was written almost a month ago. I’ve appreciated receiving the comments, and there is always something that can be … [Read More...]
Yesterday I went to my church to visit the real presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. I wanted to thank Him for so many things and (I admit) ask for so many more. I wanted to get away from all the problems I’ve been experiencing in my house and I knew I’d be “safe” there. It just felt like the right thing to do yesterday afternoon. It was around 1:30 pm when I walked through the door of the Perpetual Adoration chapel. A woman who is frequently at the chapel was getting ready to leave and the sign-in sheet outside the door indicated that she’d arrived an hour earlier. She is usually there for even longer than that. I’ve seen her sit for hours and hours some days. It makes up for the many people who don’t visit. Ever.
The Real Presence of Christ. . . .Where Is Everyone?
I went to the front of the room and … [Read More...]

Answered Prayer from Priyanthi:
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I write to thank you all for the great support you have been to my family, we just returned from our pilgrimage to the miraculous Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu… Considering the obstacles we encountered before, I am deeply grateful to you all.. It was possible because of the generosity of your hearts in accompanying us through your ministry of intercessory prayer on our behalf… it was a wonderful … [Read More...]
Lately people have been asking for updates on my situation regarding the spiritual attacks that I’ve been dealing with for over two years now. Updates. Well, there are actually quite a few updates. But given the fact that I have a 50/50 split in the blog readership, half of whom are interested in demonic affliction matters and half of whom could care less, I’m caught somewhere in the middle. Anyway, I’m always interested in your insights and comments, so please be sure to let me know if I’m writing too few of these types of posts or too many. I’ve had this ongoing problem with spiritual attacks but that doesn’t mean that everyone wants to keep hearing about it. Either way, I’d appreciate the feedback.
By the way, please visit the Demonic Affliction/Evil category if this is a topic that interests you and if you aren’t already familiar with my ongoing ordeal. This post will probably make no sense to … [Read More...]
Just a quick note of thanks to everyone who said a prayer for my mom. I had indicated in my last post that she had gone to the hospital and was being treated for lung issues. She was released last night and sent home with oxygen. She has pneumonia, which thankfully is on its way out, and has also been diagnosed with a condition called COPD.
My mother is a person who never complains about anything and yet is always ready and willing to hear about everyone else’s complaints and woes. In fact, she has more people in her prayers than there are Rosary beads on a Rosary! She is always praying and offering up her problems and pains. She has been suffering from this lung condition for a while and yet no one had a clue as to how uncomfortable she was because she never said anything.
So thank you for your prayers, as they were obviously answered, and … [Read More...]

ARTICLE THREE: Providential Function of Mary in the Latter Times
II. Exercise of This Function
2. In the formation of the apostles of the latter times.
55. In a word, God wishes that His holy Mother should be at present more known, more loved, more honored than she has ever been. This, no doubt, will take place if the predestinate enter, with the grace and light of the Holy Ghost, into the interior and perfect practice which … [Read More...]
