There are two prayer requests this week; one from a person named Sue, and the other from me.  If you’ve missed the previous posts on this topic please refer back to this post which will link you back to the other ones.  And please let me know if I accidentally neglected to include your request and I will be sure to include it in next week’s post.  Thank you for your prayers and for sharing your time.

Prayer Request from Sue:

Hi Margo,
I can’t even tell you how I found your site but I believe it was in searching for updates on Fr. Corapi.  I have had what you called an “unanswered prayer” and have been praying a Novena to Mary the Undoer of Knots for this intention.  My husband has been out of work for 2 years and is trying very hard to get work.  Now at interviews just that fact he has been out of work so [Read More...]

Family Breakdown

by margo

I was watching Women of Grace the other night which airs on the EWTN network and is hosted by Johnnette Benkovic.  She and her guests were discussing some morally adverse issues facing young girls and parents of young girls in today’s world.  Much of the discussion was wrapped around the topic of sexualization and pornification of women, starting with little girls as young as three years old and even younger.

The show reminded me of a post I’d written a year ago about the breakdown of the family and the alarming state of decline society is sinking into as it allows and even promotes the pedophilia chic concept to take root in our culture, like a weed in an unattended garden.  Why isn’t there more being done about this blatant danger?  We scream and rage for more child protection laws and services, and yet the sexualization of children – girls and boys – that can be witnessed around the globe … [Read More...]

Yesterday I wrote a post called Fatima Story and indicated that I’d continue with the rest of it in the next few posts.  I have become newly attracted to the Fatima story message and simply want to share my enthusiasm with the people (you) whom I care about.  It isn’t as if I hadn’t been familiar with Our Lady of Fatima all along.  But I guess it’s more like I’ve taken a sort of new interest in its significance in our lives today vs. simply appreciating its mysterious appeal as viewed through a Hollywood movie that was filmed over 50 years ago.

For me, the Fatima story has become a sort of wake-up call for the world of today.  It is as if Our Lady is illuminating our lives with an old story being retold with modern day insight and appeal.  I’m not sure I’m making any sense here, but hopefully if you read … [Read More...]

Fatima Story

All Catholics probably have their own individual impression of the Fatima story.  By that I mean that when we hear the word “Fatima” or reflect upon its mark in history where Our Lady is concerned, a certain thought, prayer, image, statue, movie, etc. most likely goes through our minds; we immediately associate the Fatima story with whatever it is that most impressed us about Our Lady of Fatima.

When I think of the Fatima story the first thing that comes to my mind is the three children: Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta.  My first exposure to the Fatima story was some time around the age of seven or eight.  I saw an old movie (probably the first of the Fatima movies) that was filmed in 1952.  Actually, I’m not sure there were any follow-ups, though I believe there is a new one soon to be released.  I think what most interested me at that young … [Read More...]

There is a prayer request this week.  Please visit the category on the sidebar titled Prayer Requests if you’d like to read the previous posts on this topic.  And please let me know if I accidentally neglected to include your request and I will be sure to include it in next week’s post.  Thank you for your prayers and for sharing your time.

Prayer Request from Angie:

My son is eleven and has Autism.  He got a strep infection and it effected his brain this is called PANDAS.  He has fears and severe anxiety.  Yale is doing research on PANDAS and I pray that he gets accepted and comes out well.  Your website has inspired me to pray the rosary everyday.  Thank you.[Read More...]

In my last post called Spiritual Warfare – (1) I spoke of my meeting with the exorcist priest and his assistant who came to my house on December 22nd.  Please refer to that post if you haven’t already because otherwise none of this will make much sense.  Also, I may happen to repeat some things in this post that I’ve already said in the last one, so please bear with me if I do.

Spiritual Warfare and the Enthronement to the Sacred Heart

Father and Jim were at my house for well over three hours.  Not only did Father say a Mass, but he also performed the ceremony which is called the Enthronement to the Sacred Heart of Jesus which you can read about on this website.  There are also several other websites and sources which explain what this ceremony is and how it is performed in one’s home.

I’m skipping around a bit here, but I just wanted … [Read More...]

Spiritual warfare is an invisible, yet very real and active form of war that is continually taking place in our world, involving the battle between good and evil.  I’ll get into that more later on, but for now I want to start this entry by saying that I’m sorry that it’s taken me so long to write it.  And as it is, I won’t be able to complete the whole thing today, so I’ll just called this post Spiritual Warfare – (1), and go on from there.

Spiritual Warfare Situation

As most of you probably know by now, last week an exorcist came to my house and I promised an update afterward.  I hadn’t anticipated it taking me this long, but with Christmas weekend and family and company in town, along with dealing with some adverse *side effects* of the priest’s visit, I had all I could do just to get enough rest and keep up with my daily responsibilities.… [Read More...]

Evil Spirits

by margo

I am looking forward to the priest’s visit tomorrow and hoping that he is able to rid my house of the evil spirits once and for all.  Not really sure what to expect, but am confident that he will be able to bring about some positive change around here.  He will be the fourth priest to come to my house since December 2009.  The first two times a priest came it was to do a house blessing.  The last time, which was this past June, I had a Mass said in my house by a priest from the Charismatic Renewal ministry.  You can read about it here.

Evil Spirits and People’s Doubts

It’s interesting to me how many people are resistant to believing in the presence of evil spirits in a person’s personal space.  It’s not as if they don’t believe that evil exists or that CERTAIN people are targeted and spiritually attacked by an evil being.  But for … [Read More...]

The Pennsylvania exorcist priest is coming to my house on Thursday.  As you may recall my saying in a previous post, he’d gotten into a really bad car accident a few months ago and therefore, wasn’t able to plan a trip.  In fact, his accident occurred only a day or so after he’d made up his mind to come to my house the following week.  Anyway, he’s coming on Thursday and I’m hopeful that I’ll finally be turning a corner and getting some peace in my home.

I haven’t written much about the demonic affliction issues lately because I’m trying not to give the topic more attention than is absolutely necessary.  I welcome your comments, questions, feedback – whatever – but lately it’s been difficult for me to actually sit down and write a whole post about it.  I still have stuff going on, and sometimes I don’t feel like talking about it; other times I do.

Also, I’ve been … [Read More...]

A few weeks ago at Mass, on the first Sunday of Advent, they were handing out little books for the parishioners to take home.  The books contain daily prayers, Scripture passages, Mass texts and reflections, and are meant to be a helpful resource for people who need a little boost and/or inspiration during this very holy time of year.

I was looking through my book and noticed that each day of Advent has its own reflection, and today’s reflection is all about universal love.  The person who wrote this particular reflection is Jean Vanier, and it comes straight from his book called Finding Peace.  Jean Vanier is the founder of L’Arche, an international network of communities for people with intellectual disabilities.

Universal Love

Universal love is something that seems to have been left behind somewhere along the way.  There is so much talk of the desire for global peace, prosperity and freedom, the ending of wars and the … [Read More...]
