Back in March I wrote a post titled Father Corapi Update and days later I followed up with another one. I wasn’t really sure what to call this post, as it’s sort of a blend of a few things. So I figured I’d just title it Father Corapi Update – (3) because in terms of readers’ comments, there certainly is an update every day; an update on the readers’ insights and sentiments with regard to Father Corapi and his unfortunate situation. I am so happy to see all of the love and support he has been receiving via the comments on this blog and I feel that I should post the most recent one that just came in yesterday from a woman named Mary. I’ve copied and pasted it below.
God bless you, Father Corapi. You are a real priest and a real man. I have watched you for over 5 years (and listened to your CD’s). I couldn’t believe how courageous you were to speak the truth about your past, the present and our future. Through your brilliant and powerful delivery my holiness began to grow. I watched and listened carefully — and began to fear you were disturbing the evil forces but I believed our prayers for you would keep you safe. During this time it became necessary for me to care for my adult son, a 100% disabled veteran with PTSD. He had little interest in anything but it gave him hope to share time watching and listening to you with me. He loved you as much as I did, and that made me very happy. He faced his death during your Ash Wednesday crisis. When I needed your blessings more than ever in my life, you had been taken away, too. Because of you, I pray the Rosary every day. And, the Jewish lady who lives next door says it with me. We will be your armour. We will see you again, even stronger. His name was Matthew John. His birthday was the same as yours, May 20th.
Father Corapi Update – Santa Cruz Media Statement
While searching for a Father Corapi update, I came across this Santa Cruz Media statement (below) which I found interesting and wanted to share with you in case you haven’t seen it yet.
After posting our announcement regarding liquidation of some of our inventory here at Santa Cruz Media, it became apparent from your many questions that a further explanation is in order. While we are not at liberty, at this time, to comment on the accusations against Fr. Corapi or the process of the investigation, the future will be, as Fr. Corapi said, “A New Chapter.” As such, Santa Cruz Media must transition into that new chapter with Fr. Corapi. He is currently working on completion of his autobiography, and we expect to launch his new web-radio broadcast, “The Black Sheep Dog” in the coming weeks. Our goal of preserving our current employees’ jobs here at Santa Cruz Media requires that we begin focusing our attention on new endeavors and that we phase out some aspects of our current operations. Sadly, this will mean that many of Fr. Corapi’s DVD and CD titles will be discontinued over the course of the next several months. Rest assured, our commitment has always been to further Fr. Corapi’s mission, and that remains unchanged.

Father Corapi Update – A Perspective from a Falsely Accused Priest
I found this post which was written yesterday, June 15th, in a blog that I follow called These Stone Walls. The owner of the blog is a priest by the name of Rev. Gordon MacRae who is serving time in the New Hampshire State Prison for crimes of which he was falsely accused. In his post that I have linked to above, Father MacRae says:
“In an upcoming post on These Stone Walls, I plan to venture one more time into a case that has brought many Catholics to the brink of tolerance and seriously eroded hope for a just resolution of the priesthood scandal anytime soon. I plan to write again of the case of Father John Corapi who, like any accused priest today, faces an added burden in the process of defending himself: a punishment that actually precedes any determination of guilt.”
I highly recommend Father McRae’s blog, and in this turbulent time within the Catholic Church where scandals and false accusations are popping up everywhere we turn, it is mandatory that we band together and give these priests the prayers and support they so desperately need and deserve.

Hello, my name is Margo. When I was 23 years old and working as a part-time nanny in New York City I had the pleasure of caring for a little 5-year-old boy named Alexander. One day I had been overcome with sadness and in a weak moment, I found myself confiding to this little boy about a friend I couldn't find because he was lost. Alexander, quickly responded without missing a beat, “Follow a trail!” [

Thanks Margo for the update. I will continue to join my prayers with other faithful Catholics praying for our priests/religious esp. those falsely accused of any crime. I’m disappointed in Santa Cruz Media…seems as though it’s business as usual and is distancing itself from Fr. Corapi, so much for loyalty. Will visit, These Stone Walls. Please get the word out that there’s another e-protest on my blog, crookedhalocatholicblog.blogspot.com. Our Blessed Mother has, once again, been insulted and degraded. We can not let the devil get the upper hand. N
Nanette,
All you have to do is go to several of the so called Catholic blogs, especially the National Catholic Reporter. When I read what people post on these blogs, I think of the words of Jesus in Luke 18:8 But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” It makes me want to cry .
This man was a fraud from the get-go. “Rad Trads” shamelessly defended him against the bishops to whom Catholics are obliged to pledge their fealty. Now he has betrayed those whom he duped and, more tragically, he has betrayed Christ the High Priest by abandoning the priesthood for what he obviously hopes will amount to big bucks more than thirty pieces of silver. It is time for those who defended this charlatan to apologize to the bishops of our Holy Church.

Corapi himself has dropped the “Father” title. He himself is choosing to leave the priesthood rather than give up his public audience. He has clearly chosen personal pride and arrogance over God.
The moniker “Black Sheepdog” is just plain whackadoo. No serious, adult male who presents himself as a serious follower of Christ chooses fantasy fiction imagery of the sort found on role-playing sites, nor do they adopt a ridiculously funny role-playing name like this. What is this dude? 12? Spend most of his time on World of Warcraft, or something? C’mon!
He has clearly preyed on the mentally and spiritually weak and has opted to continue that path rather than to keep his vows. That should tell you something about his real character, but the people who need to hear that are so far gone themselves, they’ll never see it. Not even after he’s bilked them out of their bank accounts, retirement funds, etc.
At some point you stop feeling sorry for the people who get suckered in by creeps like Corapi. They’re adults, and they make their choices. Fine. Just don’t come cryng to me when you’re broke and Corapi is off on some beach somewhere sipping a Mai Tai and cavorting with a bikini-clad gold digger on your dime.
That the people who think they’re the “truest” Catholics are so easily taken in by a blatantly obvious huckster like Corapi speaks to something very dark and evil in the Church.
Corapi is a fraud, always has been, always will be. He’s living on YOUR money, spitting in the face of the Church on YOUR money, behaving like a frat boy on YOUR money, so fine — y’all can have it.
Corapi is just another cult leader. When he tells you to drink the Kool-Aid, I’m sure his most devoted followers will oblige. Fine. Let them all go to their Maker — He’ll settle ‘em down alright.
Harsh words? Yep. But no less harsh than any of the horse manure that ridiculous faux-tanned, hair-dyed, creepy old loon has ever spouted.
Whilst the cloud , rightly or wrongly, hangs over Father Corapi he can NOT use the title “Father” publicly, he is being obedient not derelict or cavalier as your personal and feral attack alledges. I wonder at your true identity and whom you are linked to. A lot of bile from someone having a disinterested comment. “Creepy old loon, hair dyed, ridiculous faux tanned”. Interesting observations, the sort of remarks you would get from a spurned fixated groupie gone feral. Nothing personal just an observation. Father Corapi has obeyed canon law, unlike his misguided persecutors. In the end it will be sorted. He was directed to do the work that he ha ben doing, it was not his choice but that of his superior. Maybe you should put down you Mai Tai an stop giving in to your DT based hallucinations.@Sarah Jane -
Well it seems to me there are more accusers against Father Corapi than we realize. Sadly, we all know who or should I say what is really behind all this name calling. So lets all stay strong in our faith in our Holy Mother to continue to protect her faithful servant and continue to pray for all the false acusers. Blessed Mother please keep your mantle of protection over Father Corapi.
National Catholic Reporter is a Modernist rag that many priests and Bishops read and they do not tolerate anyone who preaches the authentic Catholic message but prefer to support abortionist Catholic politicians and our Kenyan born, Russian communist trained president so someone like Fr. Corapi must be crushed and eliminated.
When someone points a finger at someone , they Have three pointing back at themselves. Remember, God turns ALL thing for the Good for those who love OUR LORD JESUS. We all would Be Wise to remember to MYOB …. GOD is the judge .
